Men’s Health Awareness Month — November 2025

Each November, Men’s Health Awareness Month brings attention to the physical and mental health challenges faced by men across all industries — but particularly in construction, where the workforce is predominantly male and the work itself can be both physically demanding and mentally taxing.

At Logic, we work closely with construction companies and contractors across the UK to improve health, safety, and wellbeing at work. This month, we’re joining the global conversation to highlight why men’s health matters — and how we can build safer, healthier, and more supportive workplaces together.

Why Men’s Health Matters in Construction

Construction workers face unique pressures — long hours, heavy workloads, physical strain, and sometimes isolated working environments. These factors can increase the risk of both physical injury and mental health struggles.

According to industry research:

  • Men make up over 85% of the construction workforce.

  • Construction workers are at a significantly higher risk of workplace injuries.

  • Mental health issues are widespread — with stress, anxiety, and depression among the leading causes of lost workdays.

  • Tragically, the construction sector still records one of the highest rates of suicide among working-age men.

It’s clear: health and safety must go beyond hard hats and high-vis. It’s about supporting the whole person.

Building a Culture of Health and Safety

Men’s Health Awareness Month is the perfect reminder that workplace wellbeing and safety go hand in hand. Small steps can make a huge difference:

1. Encourage Open Conversations

Create an environment where men feel comfortable talking about mental health, fatigue, or physical pain. Training supervisors and team leaders to recognise signs of stress or burnout can help start those vital conversations.

2. Prioritise Preventive Health

Promote regular health check-ups, exercise, and healthy eating. Simple initiatives like on-site health screenings or wellness talks can encourage proactive care.

3. Invest in Health, Safety & Environmental Training

Proper training not only prevents accidents — it empowers workers with the knowledge to protect themselves and their teammates. Our training programmes focus on practical safety, risk awareness, and creating a culture of care across the site.

4. Lead by Example

Leadership sets the tone. When managers prioritise safety and wellbeing, it reinforces that everyone’s health — mental and physical — matters.

Our Commitment

At Logic, we’re proud to support companies in the construction and industrial sectors through expert consultancy and training services.
