ASBESTOS AWARENESS FOR ARCHITECTS & DESIGNERS (AA05)
Asbestos Awareness for Architects and Designers training is required to be given to employees whose work could foreseeably expose them to asbestos, as defined within the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR, 2012)
Asbestos Awareness training is not training to work with any forms of asbestos. It is likely to form the first part of training for work with asbestos, but on its own it is does not meet the legal requirements laid down under CAR.
Suitable for architects and designers who may encounter asbestos-containing materials during their regular work activities, particularly in the planning, design and oversight of building projects. This typically includes, but is not limited to: architects involved in the design and renovation of buildings, interior designers working on refurbishments, structural engineers, surveyors assessing building conditions, project managers overseeing construction or demolition projects, landscape architects involved in site development, and any other professionals likely to encounter asbestos-containing materials as defined in CAR 2012 during their architectural and design work.
