CITB Grace Period Changes

CITB removed the six month grace period for when certificates expire, a year and a half ago. It has become apparent that our clients are still allowing their certificates to expire. The individuals can complete a shorter and more cost efficient refresher course to prevent their certificate from expiring and then having to re-sit the full course.

The refresher courses we have include:

SMSTS Refresher - The Site Management Safety Training Scheme – Refresher (SMSTS-R) course is for delegates who have previously passed the full Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course or subsequent refresher course, and can provide proof of attendance. It aims to bring health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. The course includes a wide range of topics, many building on the previous five-day course programme.​ Find out more about this course here

SSSTS Refresher - The refresher course is for delegates who have previously passed the two-day Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course and can provide proof of successful attendance.It aims to bring health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace.The course includes a wide range of topics which have been affected by the changes to procedures built upon the material in the original course.
