Course Title: Working Safely (IOSH)  

Aims

To make delegates aware of their responsibilities for safety towards themselves, colleagues and others affected by work activities.

Objectives

By actively participating in this course delegates will be able to:

  • Identify the hazards and evaluate the risk in their workplace
  • Use appropriate workplace pre cautions for specific risks or seek advice on workplace precautions
  • Assist managers in preparing written risk assessments
  • Follow their organisations health and safety policy
  • Co-operate and communicate on safety matters
  • Report relevant accidents and incidents
  • Monitor their own activities and assist managers in active monitoring

Course Content

The following elements are contained in the programme:

  • Module 1 - working safely
  • Module 2 - hazards in general
  • Module 3 - improving the organisations safety  performance
  • Module 4 - hazards, organisation, specific
