Aims

To provide participants with the knowledge required to understand the hazards and controls associated with noise

Objectives

By actively participating in this course delegates will be able to:

- Have an adequate appreciation of the relevant health and safety information
- Understanding of noise and the associated effects and controls
- Understand the correct personal protective equipment requirements
- Appreciate how noise levels are measured

Course Content

The following elements are examined in the course:

- Key legislation
- Defining first, second and peak action levels defined in the noise at work regulations
- Identify the hazards, risks and controls associated with noise at work
- Identifying the correct personal protective equipment
- Noise level measuring the decibel/frequency
- The human ear


Duration: Half day
