 Aims


To impart the necessary knowledge and skills required to carry out fault finding inspections on steel scaffold structures and to verify the structure meets the three sets of criteria specified in the provision and use of work equipment regulations 1998:-

- The structure is fit for use
- The structure is fit for its intended purpose
- The structure meets all the legal requirements laid down

Objectives

By actively participating in the course delegates will be able to:

- Understand the reasons why scaffold structures collapse
- Show a good level of awareness on the legal requirements of a scaffold structure
- Show a good level of understanding of the safety requirements of a scaffold structure
- Understand the requirements for checking and recording inspections
- Carry out a systematic inspection of a scaffold structure
