Aims
To provide participants with knowledge required to understand the hazards and controls associated with vibration
Objectives
By actively participating in this course delegates will be able to:
- Have an adequate appreciation of the relevant health and safety legislation
- Recognise the effective control measures to prevent injury
- Understanding of vibration and the associated effects and controls
Course Content
The following elements are examined in the course:
- Key legislation
- Identify the hazards, risks and controls associated with vibration producing tools and equipment
- Recognising the causes of vibration in equipment
- Understanding exposure limits imposed on tools and equipment
- Understand how vibration levels are measured
