Aims
To ensure that all delegates are aware of the fire safety requirements, together with an understanding of what to do in an emergency, without putting themselves or others at risk.
To provide a working understanding of the various fire extinguishers and their uses.
Objectives
By actively participating in this course delegates will be able to:
- Understand the chemistry of fire.
- Understand what causes fire and the preventative control measures to take.
- Show an understanding of the various fire extinguishers and their uses.
- Acquire knowledge on how to deal with various types of fires with no risk to personnel.
- To be able to safely carry out evacuation procedure.
- Carry out daily checks to reduce the risk of fire.
