Scaffold Inspection Open Course

 Aims


To provide participants with the knowledge required to understand basic access scaffolding to enable delegates to inspect basic scaffolding structures in accordance with statutory regulations.

 

Objectives

By actively participating in this course delegates will be able to:

- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the legal obligations of  the provision and use of scaffolding.
- Provide an understanding of standard scaffolding structures,  their components and the reasons for their use.
- Understand the basic requirements for calculation and  design.
- Provide and complete a scaffold inspection and record  findings within a written report.

- Couplers, tubes and boards
- Working platforms
- Guardrail and toeboards
- Ladder access
- Loading of scaffold
- Stabilty
- Bracing, rakers and ties
