Brian Parish

Consultant and Managing Director

Having started his career as a safety adviser with SSC Ltd where he worked his way up to Senior Safety Manager, Brian has also worked in safety management for DJ Construction (Group Safety Manager), Balfour Beatty (Capital Projects Safety Manager) and BCJV (Project Safety Manager). He has also worked with AMEC, Tarmac, Laing Construction, CEGB and Delta Engineering). With over 20 year’s experience of working with health, safety and environment issues in the construction industry, Brian founded Logic in 2001. His expertise has led to many significant achievements with the industry including winning the Building Industry’s Integrated Project Safety Award on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions in 2004 and 2005.

 

Tony Daniels

Consultant and Director

Tony trained as a surveyor early on in his career before doing a stint in the Royal Navy, managing his own construction business, working as a site manager and then running his own yacht chandlery. He then formalised his wide-ranging construction experience with an MSc in Construction (Health & Safety) Management which included research into the motivation of site and project managers to manage safety on their projects. After working with Swift Southern Ltd. as senior project manager, he joined William Verry Ltd. where he was responsible for health and safety management across all their activities. Operating around 25 sites simultaneously which varied in size from £½ million to nearly £10 million, the company’s projects included Westminster Palace, Anglia Polytechnic University, various housing associations, local authority works and education and school-related projects.

David Franks

Consultant

A chemist by training, David first became involved in health and safety in the late seventies as a trade union appointed safety representative for Laporte Industries. He then joined BP where he gained his Nebosh certification and diploma. David was then appointed European Safety Director of CCL Industries, a multinational pharmaceutical manufacturing company, where he was responsible for implementing OHSAS 18000 safety management system. Since 2001, he has worked as an independent consultant operating across Europe, advising at board level developing strategy and policy, and implementing systems and procedures. He has a Masters degree in Health & Safety Law and Environmental Law. Since joining Logic, David has been part of the implementation team responsible for a totally integrated approach to project safety.

Peter Jones

Consultant

Having served in the forces with responsibility for troop movements for the whole of Wales, Peter joined Dairy Crest, implementing health, safety and security systems and reducing accident stats to well below industry levels saving the business over £2 million over a 10 year period. Since joining Logic, Peter has advised on a wide range of construction projects from small utilities to significant new builds such as University College London Hospital and been involved in the redevelopment of Kings Cross and Wembley Stadium. He has also worked alongside various utility businesses including Wrekin Construction, the Accord Group and BT Utilities.
